Typeform to Google Sheets Populator

Automatically send every Typeform response to Google Sheets - so your data is organized and ready to use the moment it comes in.

Stop manually exporting Typeform responses or copying data between tabs. Use this template to automatically capture every new Typeform submission and add it as a structured row in your Google Sheet - in real time, with no manual steps.

Whether you're collecting lead information, survey responses, event registrations, or customer feedback, this template ensures your data lands exactly where you need it the moment a response is submitted.

How this template works

This template connects Typeform to Google Sheets through a simple automated Zap. Here's how it works:

  1. A respondent submits your Typeform form.
  2. The Zap triggers immediately on the new response.
  3. All form fields from the submission are mapped to the corresponding columns in your Google Sheet.
  4. A new row is added to the sheet with the complete response data, including a timestamp.

Once your Zaps are published, the workflow runs automatically - no manual steps needed.

Setup instructions

After clicking "Use template":

  1. Connect your Typeform account to Zapier.
  2. Connect your Google Sheets account to Zapier.
  3. Select the Typeform form you want to connect.
  4. Select or create the Google Sheet and map each Typeform field to the correct column.
  5. Test with a sample submission to verify all fields are mapping correctly, then publish the Zap.

Built with Zapier Workflows (Zaps)

This template uses a Zapier Zap to trigger on new Typeform submissions and create a new row in Google Sheets with all response data. The field mapping is fully customizable to match your sheet structure.

Frequently asked questions

Does this work with all Typeform field types?

Yes. The Zap supports all standard Typeform field types including short text, long text, multiple choice, dropdowns, ratings, date pickers, and file uploads (as links).

Will it capture responses submitted before I set up the Zap?

No. The Zap only captures new submissions made after it's published. Historical responses can be exported manually from Typeform if needed.

Can I map responses to an existing Google Sheet with existing data?

Yes. You can connect the Zap to any existing Google Sheet. New responses will be added as new rows without affecting existing data.

What happens if my Typeform has conditional logic and some fields are skipped?

Skipped fields will appear as empty cells in the Google Sheet row. The mapping will still work correctly for all fields that were displayed and answered.
